Partner network

Take on more clients and bigger deals without adding staff.

We work with the people business owners already trust: surety agents, lenders and brokers who need clean contractor financials; bookkeeping, tax and accounting firms that want to offer more without hiring for it; and financial advisors, M&A advisors and transaction attorneys whose clients need a CFO. Join our network and use Legacy to scale your business: handle more deals and engagements, offer services your clients ask for without hiring, and keep every client relationship, in writing. Network partners are independent firms.

Surety agents, bonding brokers, lenders & insurance brokers

Send us contractors who need bonding-ready books.

Work with more contractors whose financials are ready. We keep your contractor clients' books current, so the package arrives without you chasing it. When a contractor's year-end package arrives late, or the WIP schedule doesn't tie to the financial statements, you're the one explaining it to the underwriter or the credit committee. We keep the books for contractors in the $3M to $20M range, organized the way underwriters and lenders read them.

Every month

Closed books and a WIP schedule

A monthly close and a WIP schedule with over- and under-billings, so a fading job shows up while there's still time to fix it, not at year-end.

For renewals

A package ready on time

Job costing, AR and AP aging, debt schedules and backlog kept current, so the year-end and interim packages your client owes you arrive when they're due.

For borrowers

Fractional CFO support

For owners who need someone to build the lender package, run the cash forecast and sit in the meeting with you, on a monthly, bi-weekly or weekly cadence.

How a referral works: you make the introduction, we hold a free 15-minute fit call with the owner, and we tell you if we've taken the work on (with the owner's OK). We work with your client's outside accountant, not around them.

Bookkeeping & accounting firms

Your tax desk.

Offer tax returns without hiring a tax team. When a bookkeeping client asks who's doing their return this year, you can say "we are." We prepare business and personal returns behind your firm, under your brand or ours, at partner rates.

Returns

Business and personal returns

Individual, S-corporation, partnership and C-corporation returns, with state returns, prepared from the books you already keep.

Review

Final review in the US

Every return gets final review by a US-based tax professional before it goes back to you. Returns carry our paid-preparer details.

Start small

A 3–5 client pilot

Judge the work and the turnaround on a few clients before committing to more. S-corporation and partnership returns for 2026 are due Mar 15, 2027, so now is the time to line it up.

You keep the client, the books and the billing. We bill your firm, not your client. Partner rates are shared on the introduction call.

Tax-only firms

Your books and payroll desk.

Offer books and payroll without hiring for them. When your tax clients ask for monthly books or payroll, you don't have to send them somewhere else. We keep the books and run payroll behind your firm, and hand you a clean year-end package.

Bookkeeping

Monthly books on a fixed fee

Books closed and reconciled each month, with monthly financial statements for your client.

Payroll

Payroll on platforms that pay and file

Payroll runs only on platforms that pay and file the payroll taxes, such as QuickBooks Payroll, Gusto and ADP. Starting with tax year 2026, employers must separately report qualified tips and overtime on W-2s; we keep that in view.

Year-end

Your package by January 31

A clean, closed year-end package delivered to you by January 31, ready for the return. W-2s and 1099s for 2026 are due Feb 1, 2027.

You keep the return and the relationship. We bill your firm, not your client. Start with a 3–5 client pilot before filing season.

Accounting firms

Your CFO, deal-support and advisory desk.

Offer CFO, transaction and restructuring work without building a new practice. For firms that do tax, attest or compliance work but don't offer fractional CFO, transaction or restructuring work. When a business client needs more than the return, you can say yes without building a new practice.

Ongoing

Fractional CFO for your business clients

Forecasting, lender reporting, KPIs and a regular meeting with the owner, on a monthly, bi-weekly or weekly cadence.

When a client sells

Exit readiness and diligence support

Clean books, add-back support, the data room's financial build and answers to the buyer's financial requests. Exit readiness.

When a client is under strain

Restructuring and 13-week cash

A 13-week cash forecast, a stabilization plan and an operating cadence. Restructuring.

Capacity

Overflow monthly close

Monthly closes for clients your team doesn't have room for, delivered back to you on a set day.

Bookkeeping

We keep the client's books

We can keep a client's books so your firm stays focused on its own engagements.

For your firm

Your own back office

If you want it: your own firm's bookkeeping, payroll and fractional CFO support.

You keep the client and your tax, compliance and attest relationship. We don't solicit your clients, under a written mutual non-solicit.

Financial advisors & wealth managers

The CFO and tax support your business-owner clients ask about.

Serve more business owners, more completely, without adding staff. Your business-owner clients need more than an investment plan: someone to run the company's numbers, plan the taxes, get the business ready to sell and coordinate with you on what comes after the sale. Legacy works alongside you.

The company

CFO support

Monthly books, a cash forecast and fractional CFO support for the owner's business.

The owner

Tax planning

Business and household tax planning and preparation, coordinated with your client reviews.

The sale

Exit readiness

The numbers and diligence work behind a sale. Exit readiness.

After the sale

Post-sale planning coordination

Tax planning and the financial handoff after closing, coordinated with you.

  • You keep the investment relationship. The household and the assets stay with you.
  • No investment advice. Legacy does not provide investment advice and never solicits your clients for investment services.
  • No referral fees to RIAs. We do not pay referral fees to registered investment advisers.

M&A advisors & exit planners

Your deal-support desk and your back office.

Take on more mandates without hiring an analyst. Capacity on demand for the financial work behind every deal. We work behind your firm, in your name or ours, and never compete for advisory mandates. You keep the client relationship and the engagement.

For your clients

Deal-support desk

Seller cleanup and monthly close, add-back schedules with support, the data room's financial build, diligence-list answers, working-capital analysis, quality-of-earnings readiness, buyer-side financial diligence support, and interim CFO help after closing.

Your client stays your client.

For your firm

Back office

Your own firm's bookkeeping, payroll, tax and fractional CFO support.

Fees agreed up front, never contingent on a deal closing.

M&A and business-transaction attorneys

The financial side of your deals and your clients' transitions.

Handle more transactions without your team chasing the numbers. We provide the financial work your deals depend on, so your clients arrive at signing with numbers that hold up. You keep the client and the legal work.

Before signing

Deal-ready seller financials

Books cleaned up and closed, with add-back support, before the buyer starts asking.

Diligence

Financial responses to the diligence list

The financial items on the buyer's request list, prepared accurately and on time.

Closing

Working-capital and closing-statement support

Working-capital history, the closing-statement numbers and the true-up support.

The agreement

Financial schedules for the purchase agreement

The financial schedules your agreement calls for. You draft the agreement.

After closing

Post-close CFO and integration support

Interim CFO help and the handoff of reporting, so the transition doesn't stall after the deal closes.

For your firm

Your own back office

If you want it: your own firm's bookkeeping, payroll, tax and fractional CFO support.

You keep the client and the legal work. Legacy gives no legal advice, and we don't solicit your clients.

Partner terms

The client stays yours, in writing.

A short summary. The signed partner agreement sets out the full terms.

  • The partner owns the client. The client relationship is yours. You set and collect your client's fee; we bill your firm.
  • We don't solicit your clients. We won't contact, solicit or take on your clients for any service without your written OK, under a written mutual non-solicit.
  • No referral fees to RIAs. We don't pay referral fees to registered investment advisers, and we never solicit an adviser's clients for investment services.
  • Client consents first. Before any tax return information reaches our team, the client signs the consents we require, including consent to share it with team members outside the United States.
  • Your brand or ours. Work can be delivered under your firm's name or ours.
  • Scope in writing. Each client's scope is set out in a short statement of work. Anything outside it is quoted before it starts.

Working together

A partner that stays behind your firm

Our principal leads every partner relationship and gives final review on the work. We'd rather start small and earn the next client than promise more than we deliver.
